Official Ares Free Download

Most people think of using the Ares download solely as a means of acquiring great music. While it’s true that Ares was originally developed with only music in mind, today’s versions of the program have evolved into something with a much broader focus. If you are using the latest version of Ares that is available, you have access to videos, movies, images, SHOUTcast radio stations, documents and applications as well as music files.

This is good news for those of you who spend all day watching videos and who love to share your self-created videos with the world, because both getting and sharing videos on the Ares network is easy. Here is how:

How to Get Videos from the Ares Download Network

Open your Ares program and go to the “Search” tab. You’ll see a screen with a keyword search box and a list of file types for which to search. Select the “Video” button, type in the keywords you want to search and hit “Enter.” Select the files which have the most stars for the highest quality files and hit “Download.”

Advanced Options to Get Videos from the Ares Download Network

If you didn’t find what you were looking for using the method described above, or simply don’t want to wade through a huge list of search results, you can use the “Advanced Search” function of Ares to narrow the parameters of your search results. On the same search screen previously mentioned, you’ll see the words “Advanced Search” listed in small letters at the end of the options list. Clicking this will allow you to search for a video by Title, Author, Category, Language, Date, Length, Resolution and/or Size.

You could also go over to the built-in Ares chat room and ask other users if they have the video you are looking for.

How Do I Share My Own Videos On the Ares Download Network?

To share videos you have created yourself with the Ares download network, make sure they are saved in a common file format and go to the “Library” tab in the Ares program. Select the “Preferences” button and then click the “Manual Configure” tab. Find where your video files are stored through this screen, select the videos you want to share and then hit “Apply.” This will import your videos into your Ares Shared Folder where they will be available to the entire Ares download network!
