Magna Tune is a great website that offers streaming audio. The site is of a record label and features a range of artists across various genres. The idea is that you can listen to the music all you want for free, with the option to then buy MP3/WAV downloads. You listen to what’s on offer and if you like it then you can buy it. It’s simple and it’s all totally legal. There are some great artists on the site just waiting to be discovered.

This one is like a collection of all the best music posted from blogs. Listen to the tracks that are posted on MP3 blogs and have a look at what’s out there in the world. All streaming audio. It’s a really cool site. You listen to what’s hot and then can buy it later if you like. This one comes highly recommended. We had great fun listening to some of the stuff here.

Some Songs

No downloads at Some Songs, but
links to tracks that are hosted in other places. Pretty simple stuff
really. Listen via streaming audio. A few decent tracks here and there.
No bells or whistles though.

Danceage.com

Not sure what we were expecting from Danceage.com, but the top artists here are Avril Lavigne and Rhianna. Just a pop-music site where you can listen to tunes. Nothing out the ordinary. Certainly no dance music.

Lots of streaming audio at isound.com. Some cool bands across a range of genres. This portal has thousands of free mp3s each ranked and sorted by genres. Sign up for free, get your own blog and contribute to the community. Bands can sell their music downloads and also turn their tracks into ring tones.

Hindi Songs

Hindi Songs is self-explanatory. If you’re into Hindi music, then this is the place to be really. Real-media streaming and low quality. Seems fairly popular. All legal and all free. Few too many ad blocks though.

Soma FM

June 29th, 2008   Vanalli   No Comments »

Soma FM is straight from San Francisco. Eleven channels of commercial-free, underground and alternative music. Looks like you’re supposed to subscribe for a $5-$50 donation and get a free T-shirt, but you can actually just click and listen to the stuff. Donate if you feel like it. Rock on.

Kulak’s Woodshed

June 29th, 2008   Vanalli   No Comments »

Kulakswoodsehd.com doesn’t look like it has had a redesign for about 10 years. Still, you can jump right in with the live webcast. Live acoustic music from California. Nothing too exciting here.
