Artist Launch in the process of a refit, apparently. Quite a strange website with some strange music. Very alternative. Some jazz and blues stuff to keep you entertained. Lots of artists and a few hippies. All for streaming. Should have a new player soon.

Honking Duck has 701 files of, wait for it, 78RPM records in RealAudio format. What a novel idea. Early country music and string bands. Even a bit of sacred harp in there. Listen away.

Di.fm offers free electronic music, streaming at you 24 hours a day. Woohaa! Free stations from loads of DJs and artists. The usual electronic genres are covered here. You can upgrade for premium service for $4.95 a month, but it’s not essential.

Whole Wheat Radio

Whole Wheat Radio is a streaming indie radio run out of Alaska. Certainly a novel idea. These guys say they are a non-profit venture and they donate lots of money to charity. Listen at high speed or low speed. Has forums and you can make requests. Pretty cool ideas here.

Radio 3

Radio 3 lets you listen to live concerts and studio jams. Another Canadian website. Haven’t heard of most of the bands, but had a listen and they sounded all right.

Shout Cast is an awesome streaming-radio website. There are thousands of free radio stations from all over the world for you to listen to. Tons and tons of genres covered. Any style of music you can think of, there is a radio station for it. Just pick a station and listen in.

Realtime 365

Realtime365.com used to be a live streaming radio station. Things have changed and there is no more radio, but there are still lots of band links. Decent electornica stuff, from drum n bass to ambient. Shame the radio is off air now.

Polyrad

Polyrad is actually in French. From what we can see, though, it’s like a 24-hour student radio station. You can listen to all sorts of genres, from jazz to dance music. Lots of streaming audio to listen to.
