Ares Tube makes downloading videos to your iPhone, iPod or other multimedia device very simple indeed. Take your favorite movies with you on the move; watch them on your way to work, in bed, or wherever else the fancy takes you!

Downloading to your iPhone and iPod
If you’re lucky enough to own an iPhone or iPod with multimedia capabilities, and you use iTunes to organize your media, then you’ve made a good choice: Ares Tube provides integrated support these devices, and transferring videos to them couldn’t be easier. These steps outline the process succinctly:
- Go through the steps in the User Guide
- At Step 3 of the User Guide, make sure that you tell Ares Tube to save the videos in ‘iPod’ format (this saves them with an mp4 encoding, which is compatible with iPhones and iPods)
- At Step 5 of the User Guide, make sure that you check the ‘Import Converted Files Into iTunes‘ option
- When you next start iTunes you video will be ready for you to watch there, or for you to transfer to your iPhone (or iPod) if you prefer
- Done!

Downloading To Other Multimedia Devices
Transferring your videos to other multimedia devices is also easy. The is in getting the video in the correct format from the start. What type of media files does your device play? Once you know this, follow these steps:
- Determine the correct media filetype that is compatible with your multimedia device
- Go through the steps in the User Guide
- At Step 3 of the User Guide, make sure you tell Ares Tube to save the videos in the correct format. The option called ‘iPod’ saves the videos in mp4 format; AVI and MPEG save the videos, rather predictably, in AVI and MPEG formats.
- Once your video is saved, transfer to your device
- Enjoy!
Step 4 is left deliberately vague: we simply cannot list all the ways in which to transfer video files to all the different multimedia devices currently available. The videos can be treated just as any normal video (if fact they are a normal video by this time); your user documentation will show you how to transfer the file.
Conclusion
Once the videos have been saved to your computer’s hard drive, they can be treated in every respect like a ‘normal’ video, like one which you have purchased from iTunes or which you have made yourself.
