Acai berry full of the good fats
You will have heard of the acai berry — recently catapulted from humble beginnings as a niche health food, to the world’s number one super food — but you might not be aware of just how much good it can do your body. Hopefully this brief idea will give you a better idea as to why you should be considering adding the acai berry, or at least some acai berry products into the diet of you and your family.
The acai berry contains mono unsaturated fats — those are the healthy ones, sometimes called ‘essential fats’ for good reason — and dietary fiber. These in conjunction with something called phytosterols help in the transport of oxygen by your red blood cells. They can also help your digestive functions be much more effective in a shorter time.
Amino acids in the acai berry help your muscles and skin, thus providing some of the anti-aging benefits advertised by distributors of acai berry products.
Also helping in the way of combating aging is the high number of antioxidants in the acai berry. Antioxidants are the reason people say that red wine is good for you; bear in the mind, though, that the acai berry has 10 times as much antioxidants in it as the red grape.
