iPhone TV in the Play with iPhone Games
I’m one of the biggest Apple fanboys that I’ve ever met. I bought the iPhone when it first came out and I bought the new 3G version when that arrived. My friends think it’s a waste of money but I see it as my hobby. And I get enjoyment out of it.
What I have been most interested about lately is the announcement by Apple that iPhone TV might ?be on the cards. Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t waste time watching much TV, but I’m just interested in the how iPhone TV is going to get around the technological barriers presented by the ?delivery of video quality footage to the iPhone and the gphone TV is yet to come in the play.
So I read a little more about it (i.e. all I could find!). It turns out that a Wi-Fi connection is needed: the EDGE network just doesn’t have the capacity to deliver the iPhone TV signal to the iPhone at a sufficient quality to make it viewable.
The SlingBox and Sling software (yes, I have one of these, too) is existing tried-and-tested ?software that transfers TV from one medium to the other via the Internet. Allegedly Apple don’t want to work with Sling on this one, though. If they did then we’d probably be looking at iPhone ?TV right now.
