Guns N’ Roses denies Slash ban
p2pnet view Music | P2P:- A Guns N’ Roses mouthperson denies the band ordered fans not to wear Slash clothing at a recent concert in Canada.
For those among you who don’t know who or what Slash is, or why Guns N’ Roses should care, ‘Slash’ is an ex-band member who fell out with Axl Rose (right).
Rose, in turn, is, to all intents and purposes, Guns N’ Roses.
Is it possible Rose could be so petty?
In a word, Yup.

His alleged crime?
Uploading nine unreleased tracks from the not eagerly awaited then upcoming Guns N` Roses album Chinese Democracy to his blog.
The RIAA, FBI and Guns ‘N Roses wanted Kevin jailed but, “To their anger, he was instead ordered to serve two months of home confinement and a year of parole for breaking federal copyright law.”
But, “now it’s Skwerl’s turn to laugh,” we said, adding:
“In an ironic twist, Guns N’ Roses is being accused of, you guessed it, copyright infringement.”
Guns N’ Roses and Universal Music Group’s Interscope-Geffen A&M label were sued by British label Independiente and the U.S. arm of Domino Recording Company, who own the licensing rights to songs by German electronic musician Ulrich Schnauss, said Billboard.
Singer Axl Rose and Guns N’ Roses band members and album producers copied portions of two of Schnauss’ songs — ‘Wherever You Are’ and ‘A Strangely Isolated Place’ — for a song used on the band`s last album called ‘Riad N’ the Bedouins’ according to the lawsuit, it says.
Meanwhile, of the Slash ban, “TMZ had reported that on Jan. 20, security banned Slash paraphernalia at a Guns N’ Roses concert in Regina,” says the Canwest News Service, adding:
“Citing security for Regina’s Brandt Centre as their source, the story alleged that fans were told to turn their Slash shirts inside out and to leave their top hats (Slash’s trademark head attire) outside.
“Guns N’ Roses management has put out a statement denying it has banned fans from wearing Slash apparel at recent gigs. Senior officials at the Brandt Centre also deny the claim.”
