Introducing Emma
p2pnet news view P2P:- First of all, I’m Emma Newton. Or the Pale Scary One. Whichever works best.
I’m going to be doing a section on p2pnet for people my age, 13, or younger. Or older.
I live on Vancouver Island in BC, Canada, and I’m homeschooled. If you’ve been visiting the site for a while, you probably know that already. My Mom is Liz (Elizabeth), and my Dad is, obviously, Jon.
I have a dog named Tango, an island Special (mutt, basically) but mostly Rotti, and two cats named Max and Lola.
I’m fairly short, I wear glasses, I have tons of freckles, blueish green eyes and short brown hair. I wear mostly black T-shirts, but occasionly I wear a different colour.
I listen to music for most of the day, but it’s always a problem finding new things to listen to. What would be good would be some kind of central directory where new artists list their stuff.
I usually listen to my favourite songs over and over and get sick of them pretty fast.
My two favourite bands (for the time being) are Billy Talent and Paramore. I also collect band T-shirts, and so far I think I have 11 …
I have a 2-gig ZEN Mozaic which, unfortunately, gets loaded with songs very fast. My parents let me have two hours a day online and I spend most of my time talking to my friends.
We live a rural town about a half hour drive from Duncan, where most of my friends live.
I love cooking, and I make breakfast every morning for me and my Dad.
Right now he and I have just finished re-watching an awesome TV show called Arrested Development.
I have no idea what I want to be when I’m old enough to have a job, other than babysitting. I babysit a three year old and a six year old, and a baby too in July.
For the site, mostly I’m going to just be writing about whatever catches my interest. I don’t exactly know what that is yet.
So … see ya soon!
[Note: Emma has been posting on and off for quite a while. Below are links to some of her contributions, if you want to know what kind of thing to expect. heh. She says she doesn't know what she wants to do when she grows up, but every now and then she says she'd like to write. So we'll see what happens
