Um, Jim, the US already has a very substantial stake the 3 strikes bidniz plan. However, the Hollywood, the American end, and the Big 4 music labels from France, Japan, the UK and US, failed miserably the first time they tried to launch it in the States
Now they’re only waiting to see how how much they can get away with in Europe before trying again, ordering the Obama administration put the Three Strikes effort into effect in the US.
“The British government has also signaled that it is ready to pass a three-strikes law as well,” says the story, quoting him.
Er, Jim, actually, the UK is having serious problems with that.
